Message from the President
It is not enough to speak of local development in a light or intuitive way, as it is one of the greatest needs in our country. Over the past decades, Local Development Associations (LDAs) have played a crucial role in the development of the territory, bringing valuable experience and significant contributions to the interior regions, particularly following the April 25th Revolution.
Today, in a new era of imminent decentralisation, LDAs can once again play a crucial role in local and regional development. AMARGAIA therefore holds a strong commitment and sense of solidarity with all local and regional stakeholders, both individual and collective, aiming to promote local development across a wide range of areas: economic, social, cultural, sporting, and entrepreneurial.
We aim to support the private business sector (industry, commerce, services, etc.) as well as the entire public sector (municipalities, community groups, associations, etc.) by making all the resources of this institution available. This includes guidance and support in accessing European funds and national and international financing projects, as well as promoting the creation of an interconnected business communication network where everyone can showcase their products and services, within an integrated logic of economic and social potential. All these actions — and others — share a single purpose: to do what has not yet been done, for the common good!
