Promotion of Social Integration and Inclusion
Acolher+ is a project by AMARGAIA aimed at the social integration and inclusion of nationals from third-party countries (NPT) into Portuguese society. Funded by the Asylum, Migration, and Integration Fund (FAMI 2030), this project seeks to create local solutions to support the migrant population in their adaptation and active participation within the community.
Project Objectives
Integration and Employability
Facilitate the social and economic integration of third-country nationals (NPT), promoting access to training and employment opportunities.
Language Learning
Support the learning of the Portuguese language, which is essential for inclusion.
Cultural Awareness
Raise awareness in society about the challenges faced by the migrant population and promote a culture of welcome and respect for diversity.
Specialized Support
Provide specialized support, including legal advice and consultancy.
Areas of Intervention
The project develops activities organized into six key areas:
Health
Informative sessions on access to healthcare services and the creation of practical guides.
Education
Portuguese language courses and digital skills training.
Employment
Individualized support for professional integration and raising awareness among businesses.
Housing
Support in accessing both social and private housing.
Culture
Social gatherings and meetings with local cultural and sports associations.
Civic Guidance
Sessions on rights, duties, and gender equality.
